A Standard Day is a work period of nine hours, including a one hour unpaid meal break, between the hours of 0700 and 2200. Any time worked earlier than 0700 or later than 2200 is payable at the night overtime rate.
A Continuous Day is a work period of seven hours, on which there is no requirement for any meal breaks, between the hours of 0700 and 2200. Again, any time worked earlier than 0700 or later than 2200 is payable at the night overtime rate.
A Shift Call is a work period of four hours, taking place between the hours of 0600 and 2300.
Late Lunch is paid if no break is given within 6 hours of the call time (or 0700, depending on which is later) on a Standard Day call.
Short Lunch (broken lunch) is paid if the meal break is less than an hour on a Standard Day call.
Late Supper (broken supper) is due if work continues after 13 hours without a 1 hour meal break.
