Finance Assistant


We are looking for a passionate and skilled Finance Assistant/Back Office Executive to deliver great customer service and financial support to our clients within TV and film.

About the role

Our clients include some of the world’s leading casting agents and agencies. We provide them with a platform to help them run their businesses and associated back-office support. Our clients look to us to help them support the thousands of artists that they match with the needs of film and TV productions. Our role includes assisting in the management of the payments to the artists and supplying our clients with management accounting information.

Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Finance & Payroll Payrun Assistant to work for an already successful, globally recognised technology business. You will be responsible for providing high quality finance support and financial information to key stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing first line support and feedback for all clients using casting back office via email and phone

  • The onboarding of production accounts and agents/agencies on back office processes

  • Liaising with agent/agency clients and managing all payment reviews, including responding to and following up on queries raised

  • Managing all artist weekly payruns, auto-enrolment

  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, reconciling online payments in a multi-currency environment and VAT returns

  • Cash flow forecasting and all aspects of Sales and Purchase Ledger

Good communication is key and the ability to explain complicated information in a simple and concise way will greatly benefit you in this position.

Must haves

  • Previous accounts experience essential

  • Proficient in the use of Excel/Google Sheets

  • Proficient at working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and dealing with multiple projects/stakeholders

  • The ability to Drive process improvements in own area, implementing new systems when necessary

Even better if

  • Experience of Xero

  • A background working in a start up an advantage
