Synopsis

Penned by Nicole Taylor, the writer behind the Bafta-winning Three Girls, the five-part drama series will see the two at the heart of a surrogacy pregnancy drama. The story follows Dan (Martin Compston) and Emily (Sophie Rundle), a solid couple who live in a huge house just outside of Glasgow.

However, one thing is missing in their lives: a baby. Despite trying for years it just doesn't happen. Through a chance encounter they meet Kaya (Mirren Mack), an 18-year-old from the other side of the city, whose life is as precarious at theirs is comfortable. When Kaya agrees to carry their baby, it feels like they were meant to meet, but was it really by chance?
